Isabelle & Michael

The clients wanted to extend and to transform their terrace. As the garden is situated 90 cm below the level of the house, the idea was born to the guide the terrace progressively to the garden. This approach avoids the feeling of being « locked in » when sitting on the terrace. The garden is situated on the same level as the working surface in the kitchen. The space between the kitchen and the garden gets even more dynamic given the fact that the garden wall on the left opens widely and slantingly to the green area. A stroll between the trees is tempting.
